We were met by Carl’s sister Lisa and nephew Jonathan. A driving tour of Rodeo and Sunset Blvd. Breakfast at Eggslut. The La Brea tar pits where one of the more heartbreaking exhibits can be seen: a mother mastodon (?) sinking into the tar pit while her child and her mate watch, helpless to help her.
